Formerly known as EADS SOCATA and DAHER-SOCATA, SOCATA (Societe de Construction d'Avions de Tourisme et d'Affaires) was a French producer of general aviation aircraft, including business planes, small personal aircraft, training aircraft and aircraft structures for other manufacturers like Airbus, Dassault and Embraer. Today, SOCATA aircraft is a wholly-owned subsidiary of DAHER and in 2015, the SOCATA name was formally discontinued and rebranded as just DAHER to better align with its parent company.
